I have a PhD in leadership and policy and a background in business. I've had many jobs and careers from modelling, personal training, to a Bell operator and a Purolator driver. I've been in retail sales, and sold photocopies, PR, and software. I've been a teacher of primary/junior students, and professor in sales, and a professor in graduate education. Your chosen career path is a reflection of where you want to go and what you want to accomplish in your lifetime. However, due to physical, mental, economic, familial, or emotional limitations, among others, it is possible that you may feel you are unable to work towards your desired career path. Additionally, it is possible that you may be unaware of what your career path might be. In career therapy, we will explore your interests, desires, strengths and challenges, your spirituality, education level and social, political or economical limitations, to discover what work might be meaningful, suitable and fruitful for you. We will then create a plan to work towards your desired career path.

Successful careers require the same attention and understanding you put into a successful relationship. If you are being overlooked or bullied at work, it can feel like your value as a person is being dismissed. There are strategies for identifying what you wish to achieve in your career and practical steps to get there. These strategies not only provide a roadmap for your career but also offer a sense of hope and inspiration, showing that growth and development are always within your reach.
