Relationships can be challenging and sometimes we all need some additional help and support! My passion is to help you understand how to connect in your relationships and to be understood with validation and empathy.

We are active and directive with Couples and Individuals. We are hoping to publish in 2014 a book entitled: Worth Fighting For: Self-Help for Couples. We have been married 28 years. Ken's doctorate is from UT-Austin-1975, Karen's from University of Houston 1995.

All relationships thrive in a setting of trust, respect, and love. Over time, established patterns can either progress or undermine the emotional and physical safety in relationships. I work to identify those unhealthy patterns, allowing a positive, healing shift.

I have received extensive training in facilitating therapy for couples and families. These sessions allow each participant to express their emotions and explore how they play into the relationship patterns we all have in place with those who mean a great deal to us.

Often time’s people think they will meet Mr. or Mrs. Right and that they will live happily ever after. This fairy tale myth is far from reality. What most of us don’t learn is that good relationships take time and hard work.

I follow the empirically based Gottman Method which encompasses 40 years of research on couples and marriage. I help couples in slowing down their interactions of communication to reveal patterns that may be contributing or contaminating to their relationship success.
