Therapy can be a great tool to support men and women in overcoming chemical (substances) and process (behavioral) addictions and regaining control of a healthy lifestyle. I have supported clients in working through addictions including alcoholism, drug abuse, compulsive pornography use, and compulsive cell phone and gaming use. I will discuss a plan to help you identify the emotional components of your addictive cycle, increase social support and accountability, develop new habits that support refraining from using, and having a clear long term plan for freedom. Call or email me today and we will discuss your needs and the support I can provide.

Addiction patterns, behaviors and recovery depend on relationship with self, others, emotions, attachments, and the issues that led to the addiction. I can help with understanding how the addiction came about, and processing emotional, relational, and spiritual aspects of the addiction. I offer coping skills, understanding, a place where you can be honest without judgment, and a path of transformation that comes from the inside-out.

I have been helping people deal with all forms of addiction in my 40 years of counseling: sex, substance abuse, pornography, and overspending, to name a few. My approach is to treat the person within the relationship in which he is involved. For instance, for most people that are struggling with addictions, their marriage, children, work or parental relationships are being affected. My approach is to help the addict first, but also help resolve the impact their addiction has had on these relationships.
