Most family therapists inadvertently create more chaos through their well-intentioned efforts to assist a family move through a change process. Why? Not only is emotionally focused therapy helpful for couples, it is also helpful for other relationships as well, such as sibling relationships, and parent-child relationships. I currently see family relationships at a max of two family members present in sessions. I do not see families wanting to work on their relationships with children who are minors at this time.
