I am am trained marriage and family therapist, and will help your family exlore and improve the interaction styles between family members that are provocative, insensitive, emotionally misattuned, or in any way unproductive. We will look at ways in which children have become inappropriately drawn into parents' marital conflicts, and how that affects power dynamics within the family. Most family therapists inadvertently create more chaos through their well-intentioned efforts to assist a family move through a change process. Why? Not only is emotionally focused therapy helpful for couples, it is also helpful for other relationships as well, such as sibling relationships, and parent-child relationships. I currently see family relationships at a max of two family members present in sessions. I do not see families wanting to work on their relationships with children who are minors at this time.
