While most Christian Counselors pride themselves on how many Scriptural passages they can recite and how many links they can make from the Bible to psychological disorders, the Christian-centric work of Grey Matters International, Inc.is grounded in one principle: truth. For us, the work is more about truth and transparency of Christ's message and working on the natural laws of accountability and decision making that evolves from that. If one honors God's natural laws of reaping and sowing around the decisions one makes, one is indeed living Scripture to its fullest. We prepare the brain to better maximize the spiritual realities of Christ's words. Contact kevin@kevinflemingphd.com.

Christian counseling can help foster a deeper level of hope in individual and couple’s therapy, knowing that the Lord is an expert in bringing life back into hopeless places, making beauty from ashes, and bringing streams out of wastelands. Out of His character of love and grace He wants to give you life in abundance. I would be honored to prayerfully walk alongside you in this journey, integrating Christian beliefs with emotionally focused therapy, as you seek your new beginning with the Lord individually or in your relationship.

Being a Christian certainly does not keep us from experiencing hard times, emotional struggles, illnesses, or relationship pain. My goal is to help you navigate whatever challenges you may be experiencing, either individually or as a couple, in a way that strengthens your faith and reminds you of the purpose God has for your life. While it can be incredibly hard to walk as a Christian in the world today, it is my belief that God will make a way.

I am a deeply spiritual Jewish person, and utilize a spiritual and existential perspective to organize my thinking and my work with patients. The phenomenon of the intergenerational passage of psychological issues, defenses, and abusive behavior relates to a well known quote from Isiah, that "the fathers have eaten sour grapes and the children's teeth are set on edge." Another biblical quotation I find useful in working to reduce guilt and imrpove personal strength and healthy entitlement, is, "If I am not for me, who will be?"

Spirituality and faith can be a great source of strength for individuals dealing with psychological issues. It is often a neglected area of exploration and resource. And I often find that individuals can struggle with beliefs they were taught in childhood and how those might change as he/she lives in adulthood. Allowing God to be an active part of your life can be very powerful. I allow everyone to bring in his/her belief system into the therapeutic process.
