I have been amazed and humbled by what happens when families come together and put down their defenses, when each claims how both contribution and destruction have been a part of their mode of operation. Forgiveness and hope towards changing each one's attitude is at the art of family therapy.

I love working with family members to sort out issues and resolve conflicts when possible. Although not always possible its always worth a try. What is usually helpful is to find better boundaries with the "trouble makers" in the family and to learn to love them the way they are and not the way you want them to be while establishing those boundaries. Love and forgiveness is a must.
