I believe that it is very important to address a person religious belief or lack of belief in counseling. How we relate to the world and what it means to have or not have a God has a very important role on how people approach their own problems. With this understanding for clients who indicate their need to connect their presenting issues spirituality, I work with exploring how the Christian belief is beneficial to therapeutic outcomes. The Biblical message of hope, faith, love, forgiveness ,redemption, and salvation are "languaged" in therapy in achieving clients goals. Tenets of the Christian faith such as prayer and Biblical usages are incorporated in sessions.

Counseling is addressing spiritual issues of life and is based on the reality that we are a spirit, have a soul, and live in a body. It is an integration of psychological and spiritual realities that affect the way we live and is based on the existence of God, who has our best interest in mind and who is intimately involved with our human affairs.
