- Dr. Rebecca Jorgensen
Rebecca Jorgensen, Ph.D. is an expert on healing couple distress. She directs the internationally recognized San Diego Center for Emotionally Couple Therapy, which focuses on training and supervising professionals who want to learn how to provide excellent couple therapy, and LifeSTAR of San Diego (of the LifeSTAR Network) a program designed for recovery and treatment of sexual addiction.
Becca is well acknowledged speaker, professional educator on creating lasting relationships and she trains professionals to practice Emotionally Focused Therapy. She works and co-presents with Dr. Sue Johnson, Emotionally Focused Therapy originator and developer of the Hold Me Tight© Relationship Enhancement Program.
Dr. Jorgensen is considered a leading couples therapist. Couples travel regularly from out of state and country to work directly with her at these workshops or for Intensive Couple Therapy. She has special expertise in working with couples healing from the effects of sexual addiction or seeking after-affair recovery. Becca is happily married to Max and they are enjoying being grandparents to their 4 grandchildren.
Tami Chelew, M.A.
Tami Chelew, M.A., is a marriage educator. She is a locally recognized speaker on strengthening marriage and families and holds a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Tami has been involved with teaching and speaking on marriage and family relationship issues for the past 16 years. She speaks at different churches, professional therapist organizations, parenting groups, women’s events and couple retreats throughout the greater San Diego area and beyond. Tami has received advanced Emotionally Focused Therapy Training and is finalizing her certification as an Associate Sexual Addiction Therapist (ASAT). Tami has an active practice at the Alliant Couple and Family Clinic. She is married to her best friend Dan and they have two grown daughters.
This couples intensive workshop, Conversations for Connection, is designed so you can improve your relationship from where-ever it is right now.
This workshop provides in depth marital eduction and a new way to communicate about your couple issues. The program mixes lectures, video demonstration and exercises, supported by the facilitators and additional helping therapists so you can leave the workshop knowing how to maintain the skills you learn during the workshop. We encourage you to seek therapy if you are in high relational distress.
