Tia Parsley is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in Texas and Arkansas. She has over ten years of counseling individuals and families, improving relationships, working with parents, and helping individuals with emotional. Tia earned her Master of Education Specializing in Counseling from Southern Arkansas University. Tia collaborated with the juvenile judicial system to develop programs to assist adolescents and families with issues such as addiction, relationship issues, anger management, depression, anxiety, communication, parenting, and stress management. Tia has acted as program coordinator of an adolescent substance abuse treatment program assisting adolescents with substance abuse, mental health, behavioral issues, and personality disorders.
Tia believes in fostering a non-judgmental relationship with individuals and practices from a strengths-based perspective, focusing on one’s assets and potential. She practices dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational enhancement, and person-centered techniques to assist individuals, couples, and families in reaching their goals. Her purpose is to help improve coping skills, increase personal happiness, and discover stability and balance in daily life. Tia has a passion for counseling and strives to improve the lives of her clients in ways that are both personally and relationally beneficial to the individual in need.
