EXAMPLES OF THE TYPES OF ISSUES CLIENTS BRING

Examples of issues I have worked on with clients include grief at the loss of a job, partner, parent, or child; anxiety and overwhelm experienced by clients in dysfunctional work environments; anxiety of university students away from home for the first time or retirees entering a new phase of life; fear and depression of those navigating divorce.

THERAPEUTIC APPROACH

I use a client-centred approach adjusted to your unique needs. We will access strengths-based thinking and rely on cognitive behavioural therapy.  Doing so will help us understand what is keeping you stuck so we can break through barriers with power and determination. 

EDUCATION AND BACKGROUND

I have been a litigator, an executive in complex organizations, a leadership coach and most importantly, I am a mom and grandmother. When the COVID pandemic changed all our lives, I returned to school to earn an MA in Counselling Psychology. I could see the effects of isolation, anxiety and depression and I wanted to be ready to expand my coaching practice to address these new challenges.

Like you, I know that life is not a smooth journey. Clients who work with me, quickly build a trusting relationship. I bring compassion, empathy, common sense and experience to our conversations. We discover different perspectives, so you gain the courage to examine and tear through blocks and practice shifting negative attitudes to positive energy.

HOW WE MEET

We will meet online using video-conferencing. This means you can avoid commuting while feeling comfortable and safe in your environment.
