Hello and Welcome!

My name is Taryn and I am the Clinical Director of PeopleDo Health + Wellness, a compassionate counselling space that works with you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a non-judgmental environment. Our clinic is a safe space for your emotional well-being.

I have extensive experience working as a Registered Psychotherapist supporting adolescent and adult populations transitioning through life stages. I support individuals and families experiencing a range of mental health challenges as I provide a unique perspective on coping with anxiety, navigating relationships, and building resiliency. Using a realistic and non-judgemental approach, I help my clients overcome obstacles and rewrite their own narratives. Making effective change isn't easy but it's never motivated by shame or criticism. I feel this is crucial when working to build self-esteem, overcome substance use dependency, alcoholism, and other forms of addiction.

I view therapy as a collaborative experience that helps to achieve personal goals and resolve conflicts. My theoretical orientation can be described as an integrative approach that combines aspects of therapeutic modalities including CBT, psychodynamic models, interpersonal therapy, and DBT, among others. By tailoring treatments and working with clients to foster feelings of safety, I challenge my clients to work through areas of difficulty at an appropriate pace. My visual condition offers an enhanced empathetic awareness to the clients I serve both in and outside of the disabled community.

For those looking for in-person services, PeopleDo Health + Wellness provides therapy from an accessible and inclusive office space in Toronto, Ontario. Our clinic is located near the intersection of College Street and Bathurst Street in an accessible, confidential, co-working space. We are also proud to offer virtual therapy to provide services across Ontario. Our fees for psychotherapy are not covered by OHIP, but our services may be covered by private insurance or extended health insurance plans. We encourage all of our clients to check with their insurance provider to determine their coverage for psychotherapy. Automatic credit card payments are also available for client convenience.

At PeopleDo Health + Wellness we encourage our clients to share their goals for treatment during their free 15 minute consultation and throughout their time in therapy.
