I support people in their desire to make positive, lasting changes in their lives. I teach them skills they can use to draw on their own strengths to make those changes.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Georgia. After moving back to Illinois, I earned my Master of Arts degree in Human Development Counseling from the University of Illinois at Springfield.
I am licensed by the State of Illinois as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). I am a professional member of the American Counseling Association, Illinois Counseling Association - Illinois Mental Health Counselors Association, and Illinois Association for Couples and Family Counselors division Treasurer 2016-2018.
My current passion is helping individuals and couples process their thoughts and feelings about infertility and reproductive issues and resolve their desires for parenthood. As such, I am a professional member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine Mental Health Professionals Group, and a professional member/professional support group leader for RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association.
I have clinical
experience in treating adults and couples using individual, couples, and group therapy. I practice standard
cognitive behavior therapy for most conditions, although other treatment
approaches are used, depending on the person or condition.
