I am a skilled and experienced adult, adolescent and child psychiatrist with an expertise in the management of psychiatric problems and disorders, including but not limited to depression, mood, bipolar, eating, panic, and anxiety disorders; ADHD, OCD, and PTSD; specific phobias; coping with loss or grief; relationship issues; parenting and family conflict issues; peer relationships; self-esteem; and women’s mental health. Through a combination of therapeutic techniques, I will help the patient identify limiting beliefs and outmoded coping mechanisms that may be standing in the patient’s way.
I am a Board Certified psychiatrist, serving adults, adolescents and children, has opened a psychiatric practice in central New Jersey to treat patients with a variety of issues related to home and family as well as work and career. I have helped patients build richer, more rewarding lives.
For those tired of seeing a psychiatrist for only 10 minutes in a hospital or clinic, I offer a better alternative as I give undivided attention and care to each and every patient. I provide a caring environment in which the patient can identify and explore those issues that may be getting in the way of a more rewarding life and career, or more fulfilling relationships. The goal is to provide my patients with the insight and tools they need to move beyond old, limiting beliefs and behaviors.
I have completed a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in June 2011. Prior to that, she completed an Adult Psychiatry Residency at the same institution. I served as an adult, adolescent, and child Consultation and Liaison Psychiatrist at Hackensack University Medical Center, as well as acted as an academic instructor for UMDNJ residents and students at this location. Currently, I am serving as a Consultation and Liaison Psychiatrist at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, New Jersey, treating adults, adolescents and children.
I work with adults, adolescents, and children, providing treatment through therapy, medication or both. I have extensive experience in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, interpersonal therapy, and working with difficult family therapy situations. She provides a variety of services including medication management, anger and stress management, individual psychotherapy, family therapy, children’s therapy, couples counseling, parent counseling, and sports psychiatry.
Services are fee for service. Although I do not accept insurance plans, I will provide the patient with a receipt which he or she can submit to the insurance provider.
