My name is Cherilyn Haworth and I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of California since 2009. I am one of the therapists at Mosaic Counseling. We are a professional group of therapists with varying backgrounds and many years of experience helping adults, children, and families in Kern County. Our goal is to provide a wide range of services and specific interventions for those dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and loss. Our services are culturally sensitive, goal specific, and curtailed to the needs of the individual or family. We are committed to helping our clients achieve change, healing, self confidence, and emotional growth in order to live life more authentically.
Personally, I have worked in the field of trauma and abuse for over a decade. During this time I have worked with individuals, couples, families, and groups experiencing a variety of issues in many different settings. I also provide clinical supervision to Associate Social Workers and Marriage and Family Therapist Interns in a variety of fields, which allows me to also learn from them as we discuss the clinical aspects to their work.
I am a long standing member of the National Association of Social Workers and the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children. In 2014 I became one of a few State trainers in Trauma Informed Care and I provide various trainings locally on the effects of trauma and how to identify resiliency factors to address traumatic effects. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Social Work with a concentration in Children and Families, as well as hundreds of hours of Continuing Education. I also work with adults and children who are experiencing life transitions, mood disorders, grief and loss, or psychological and spiritual problems. My clients include those who wish to improve their marriages, parenting, communication, and/or life skills.
