My Philosophy
It is my belief that the key to improving one’s life and to relieve suffering is through a commitment to change. Many people who come to therapy feel stuck in some area of their life, and it is not for a lack of trying to become unstuck. Sometimes we are unable to manage change on our own. Often we need support to create change in our life, and entering therapy is the first step towards receiving this support.
The cornerstone of my practice is providing an emotionally safe space for my clients. I believe that compassion, respect, and authenticity are essential ingredients to create a safe environment that can foster change. I consider it an honour to walk alongside another person while they process their experiences.
The Process
Our first session will be used to gather information about you when you tell your story. With your input, we will create goals that you wish to work towards during your time in therapy, and we will discuss the best treatment plan to help you meet your goals.
Treatment Options
My life experience has taught me that no two people react the same way to the same situation, and sometimes we are ill prepared to deal with what comes our way. An effective way to make sense of our experiences is with the help of another. I offer a variety of different therapy options depending on your specific circumstances and your personality. Therapy does not follow a “one size fits all” model. Together we will explore your specific needs, and develop goals that you wish to accomplish in therapy.
