Mary McClenaghan Believes that Everyone Has the Potential to Have A Better Life
Do you feel stuck in your life? Your job, your relationship or just within yourself? Here is what I can help you with:
- anxiety
- career issues
- self-doubt
- self-esteem
- interpersonal conflict
As a psychotherapist, I have worked with individuals on a variety of issues including anxiety, bereavement, coping with ADD/ADHD diagnosis, career planning, relationship dysfunction, low self- esteem and emotional dysregulation. My initial career in banking gave me expert knowledge in understanding financial matters and the impact they can have on couples and families. With ten years working as a Human Resources manager, I became highly familiar with the challenges that occur within workplaces. I have considerable experience with identifying and resolving interpersonal conflict, communication differences, work-life balance concerns and exploring career development. Actively involved in my community, I have volunteered with local organizations providing support and counselling to people experiencing a wide range of issues such as domestic violence, the effects of homicide, impacts of suicide and dealing with bereavement.
My approach is to understand you from your perspective and meet you where you are at. From there we can determine what you want to work on together so that you can move forward.
I work with
- individuals from ages 18 and up
I use and incorporate the following therapy techniques
- Strength Based Approach

Things to Consider
Taking the time to talk honestly with a neutral person can provide space for your thoughts to open up while you take a breath and become focused on yourself. Counselling can help you make changes in your life so that you are doing more than just existing. The starting place for you getting what you need or want with counselling is that you feel at ease with your therapist. Please feel free to contact me for a free 15 phone minute consultation so you can determine if we are a good fit for each other.
