I can help.  As a Registered Clinical Counsellor, I have extensive experience helping people with their challenges, using evidence-based approaches to support change. I believe everyone has the capacity to recover from difficult life experiences and to thrive, to find balance, to find ways to live with more satisfaction. In counselling I provide you with the consideration, encouragement, and insight that you need to help you uncover solutions for living better. I believe people get overwhelmed, and need support connecting with old strengths and developing new strengths.  I love seeing people discover or rediscover their confidence in themselves. My clients have told me that I am warm, funny, thoughtful, resourceful, and effective.   I see adult individuals and couples who are struggling with:

I offer a free half-hour initial consultation so you can see if I am the right counsellor for you.  Whatever is going on, I am trained to listen deeply, and may see patterns in your behaviour that provide clues to helping you feel better. It can be hard to see these patterns on your own, or to figure out what to do. Life can be hard and confusing, and I'm here to support you. 
 
I use a variety of therapies to facilitate your recovery, including

  • CBT
  • grief therapy
  • EMDR
  • family systems approaches
  • ACT
  • mindfulness

Cost is $150/session, or sliding scale according to income. 
 
I was trained at City University of Seattle and have been practicing for over 10 years.  My office is in Victoria.
