Why Seek Counselling?

Life isn’t always easy. It can be hard, painful and even traumatic at times. Trauma and difficult life experiences can create challenges in many areas of life - it’s not uncommon to struggle with managing thoughts and emotions, relationships, and responsibilities. We do our best to lean on past ways of coping to help us through, and sometimes must acknowledge when more help is needed. Whether you struggle with emotional issues (anxiety, depression, PTSD, anger, low self-esteem), addiction, grief and loss, or relationship/family issues, I would welcome the opportunity to support your desire for authentic personal growth and healing.

My Education

I hold a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from the University of Western Ontario and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Toronto. I have been a Registered Social Worker with the College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers in good standing since 2002.

How I Work

I am able to provide counselling services both in-person as well as virtual using a safe and secure online video platform. It is at the preference of the client which mode of delivery is used. In our work together, I will always tailor my approach to where you are at and what best fits your needs. My work is always trauma-informed and fundamentally based in the science of attachment. I have extensive training and knowledge in trauma and utilize various evidence-based approaches including Somatic Experiencing, Emotionally-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Compassion-Focused Therapy.

My fee

The fee for counselling is $155 per 55 minute session. Many insurance companies cover some or all of the cost of sessions provided by a Registered Social Worker. You will receive a receipt upon payment after each session that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement, if applicable.

Location

My office is located at 201 Oxford Street West, Suite 219 in London Ontario. The parking is free and plentiful and the office is located on a main public transportation route.
