I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor who attended Texas A&M University where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I went on to receive a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from the University of Texas at Tyler.

I have broad range of work experience. While getting my masters I work at Smith County Juvenile Detention Center, where I counseled at-risk youth, conducted mental health assessments, and co led substance abuse groups. After graduation, I worked at inpatient hospital that offered mental health and rehabilitation services. My position as a program therapist consisted of providing individual therapy to adults and geriatrics, coordinated discharge planning, facilitated family sessions, led process and educational groups, conducted assessments, and developed treatment plans. Currently I am working at a private practice where I provide assessments, individual, marital, family, and group counseling.

I believe that change and growth are essential in therapy. I promote a safe and working environment, encouraging open communication and honesty. I tailor treatment to the individual in order for them to obtain their own therapeutic goals. I use multiple techniques that best fit the individual. I encourage exploration of emotions, behaviors, and thoughts through a goal-oriented approach.
