Counselling for Healing and Life Skills
Imagine feeling more in control around food, accepting and even liking yourself, or managing better in a relationship. How you relate to yourself, food, your emotions, or people in your life can change. Our unresolved issues can show up in our thoughts, feelings, behaviours and our bodies. These both affect our lives and act as doorways to change. My clients are looking for a safe connection where they can feel seen, heard and understood. They want to process their story and find guidance. They want to be kinder to themselves. They want to learn life skills and find healing.
Meet Karen
With a masters degree in Counselling Psychology, I have over twenty years of counselling experience in a private practice setting. I specialize in and enjoy working with individual issues and eating disorders.
I am no different than you, I have faced many life issues and found healing, so my counselling work is not just text-book but has real life understanding. So much can go into the making of a life and some of these things can undo us in ways. The undoing can also be turned around to make our lives into something profoundly more than they could have been had we not walked down that painful pathway and found new meaning and healing.
The Counselling Process
Through a warm and compassionate lens, my goal is to provide a safe place to talk and to partner with you as we sort through what is going on in a way that helps you feel seen, heard and understand, and in a way that assists you see how much sense your actions make. As you better understand your situation we can work on steps towards recovery using new tools, life skills and healing therapies. Through our work together, you should be able to sort out what is happening in your life, discover how it relates to your past experiences, learn new skills, and find healing.
It can be challenging to reach out. You are welcome to do so. I have over 20 years experience working in a private practice setting. Today can be a new beginning for you.

One of the greatest privileges I've found in being a therapist is when people tell me their story, I get to see who they really are, marvel at how they are uniquely made, and I begin to wonder what could happen if they let other's see this, and even more, what will happen when they too see it?
It would be a privileged to meet with you.
Call now for your complimentary 15 minute consultation. I look forward to hearing from you.
Warmly, Karen
