What is therapy like? 
 
In therapy, you can be heard. In therapy, you can be yourself without fear of judgment, without having to apologize or act "normal." That's the core of my philosophy: by being seen and accepted as you are, you can also accept yourself. With my strength-focused approach, we'll discover your skills, resources and abilities that got you this far, and help you build on them to become the person you're meant to be. 
  
I'm committed to an feminist, multicultural approach to counseling, which values people of every gender identity, race, ethnicity, religion, and disability status. Whether you're facing prejudice from family, figuring out what accommodations you need, or exploring your own identity, you'll find space for it here.
 
Most importantly, you get to set your own goals. You decide what counts as an "issue" and what isn't a big deal. Not sure of your goals yet? No problem: we'll figure it out together, and I'll check with you regularly about what works for you, and what doesn't.
 
Online counseling with the comforts of home
No need to sit in traffic or hire a babysitter: I do video therapy sessions for people across Texas. Settle in on the couch with a blanket round your shoulders, or hug your dog to ease your nerves.
