About Me

Hello, and thank you for visiting. Here is a little bit about me.

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) serving clients in person in Kelowna, BC, Canada and surrounding areas, and across the globe via Skype.

I have a very warm and genuine style. I believe we are all unique, creative, valuable human beings. We all yearn to be seen, heard and validated. I draw from my years of experience counselling clients of all ages, and from all cultural and societal backgrounds. Whether you are facing challenging life transitions, emotional pain, difficult relationships, grief, devastating losses, childhood trauma, or any kind of overwhelming experiences, I will hold space for you. That is, I will walk alongside you whatever journey you are on - free of judgment, assumptions or control. I will give you unconditional support, with an open mind and an open heart. Together, we will rediscover the path to your true, authentic self.

My commitment is to provide a safe, genuine, empathetic, therapeutic environment, where you are honored, and feel empowered to explore your emotional world. Collaboratively, we will determine therapy goals, and implement techniques and strategies which will promote positive effective change.

I work with individuals, couples, and families. I use an integrative approach, and draw from the most effective therapeutic modalities, which are then tailored to fit your needs. I have extensive knowledge in the field of trauma (attachment, physical, emotional, sexual) and related conditions such as: depression, anxiety, self-harm, low self-esteem and relational challenges.

I have obtained post graduate specialty training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing ( EMDR). EMDR is a highly effective form of therapy, endorsed by both the American Psychological Association and World Health Organization for the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). EMDR can also effectively treat depression, anxiety, specific phobia, and complicated grief.

I have additional post graduate specialty training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). EFT is an empirically based approach designed to help individuals accept, regulate, understand, and make sense of the emotions of one's experiences.
