I help individual, adult clients build healthier lives by acknowledging and beginning the process of healing trauma and attachment wounds that manifest as anxiety and worry, unhealthy boundaries and relationships, low self-esteem, AHDH, addiction and other self-defeating behaviours.
*Do you find it hard to quiet down your mind so you can relax, sleep or focus?
*Does anxiety or trauma make it hard to function effectively at home, work or in relationships?
*Do you struggle with the shame and frustration that can accompany ADHD?
*Is past trauma still making it difficult for you to move forward in the way you want?
*Do you use alcohol/drugs to change your mood or numb away difficult thoughts or emotions?
*Have you put everyone else’s needs first then end up feeling exhausted or resentful?
*Do you keep things inside because you don’t want to burden others or worry they will judge you?
*Are you in need of tools and skills that help you calm down, reduce stress, feel more in control?
Sometimes family and friends may not the right people to talk to when it comes to anxiety, trauma, ADHD, addiction or relationship issues. You need a person outside of these loved ones to tell your stories to, who won't tell you what to do, get offended or judge. A new perspective from someone who is in your corner can make all the difference.
As a Master’s Level Registered Clinical Counsellor I work with individual adult clients who want to change, grow and make sense of their life in a safe, confidential setting. To do that you need to feel supported by a mental health professional who can challenge you and also have your back as you grow and change.
HOW I CAN HELP YOU:
·Understand and overcome trauma, anxiety, or depression.
·Learn skills to help you calm, reduce worry and rumination.
·Learn how to communicate better with others.
·Find clarity and self-confidence.
·Learn how to set and maintain boundaries with others.
·Learn how to focus on the present moment.
·Experience relief and gain momentum as you change and grow.
TOGETHER WE CAN:
-Talk about difficult experiences in the past or present and how they affect your mind, body, emotions and result in behaviour and relationship patterns that may not be helpful.
-Determine your goals for counselling and what you want to change.
-Practice practical tools to help you feel calm and in control, help you manage stress and make healthier decisions that move you closer to your goals.
-Uncover your strengths and abilities and capitalize on them.

-Understand what your emotional activation points are and how to recognize them before they hijack you.
