HOW I CAN HELP YOU
Let's work together so you can have peace of mind and contentment.
We'll quiet the anxiety and seemingly endless worry, in order to empower you to pursue the things you want in life - those hobbies and dreams that remain unrealized. We'll build up your confidence so you can truly, genuinely like yourself and enjoy life more. Let's help you increase understanding between you and your loved ones, so you no longer have to feel unseen and unheard.

My name is Dr. Jean Stapp, and I am a licensed psychologist (license number: PSY 33583) with extensive training and experience in treating depression, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, and relationship issues.

My ultimate goal is to help my clients take the steps they need to shape the kinds of lives that they desire. I prioritize understanding who you are, where you come from, and what you want to accomplish.

Your circumstances have affected you, but they do not have to dictate your future. I work with clients from all backgrounds, and it would be my honor to walk beside you as you begin a journey towards feeling better.

WHERE I WAS TRAINED
  • Duke University: Bachelor's degree in Psychology
  • Duke University Health System: Clinical work
  • University of Southern California (USC): PhD and Master's degree in Clinical Psychology
  • UC San Diego: Clinical internship
  • UC Irvine: Postdoctoral fellowship

Throughout my education and training, I have had the privilege of working with individuals from all walks of life. I have had a lot of experience working with military service members and their families. I have witnessed firsthand the profound impact that therapy can have on people's lives, and am honored to be a part of that process.

HOW I APPROACH THERAPY
As a therapist, I take a collaborative and integrative approach to therapy. I believe that each client is unique and requires an individualized treatment plan that addresses their specific needs and goals. I draw from a variety of evidence-based therapies to create a tailored treatment plan for each client.

My passion for helping people extends beyond my therapy practice. I am actively involved in several nonprofit organizations that support mental health and eating disorder awareness. I believe in using my platform as a therapist to raise awareness and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me.

If you think we would be a good fit, I would be honored to work with you and help you improve your life and relationships.
