Have you been feeling down and overwhelmed with everything that's been happening lately? Having trouble coping with work and relationships? Feeling like you just don't measure up?

Or maybe your past has been rearing its ugly head, causing you pain, depression, and anxiety? Making you feel like you did something wrong and are now paying the price?

If you find yourself feeling stuck, if you're having difficulty coping with things, or life just isn't going as well as you think it should, counseling can help! I've been helping people with their issues for many years now and you don't have to be embarrassed to talk to me about anything! I truly like people and would like the opportunity to help you reach your goals and bring more happiness into your life.

I am a Licensed Counselor as well as an Occupational Therapist and will bring both of these perspectives into my work with you! I believe in the healing power of the therapeutic relationship as well as that of purposeful activity. Because of this, I work very hard to establish a warm, safe and inviting atmosphere in which you can feel comfortable opening up. It is important that you feel respected and heard. Because of this, I am very careful to keep confidential any information that you share with me.

I will often assign "homework" for you to complete between scheduled sessions including something to read, an exercise to try, or maybe a short video to watch. I won't give you anything too time-consuming or any busy work- I would not waste your time like that! These tasks will be important to help you progress faster towards your goals. Therapy really is best done in a collaborative way with us working together as a team!

Counseling can help you to understand your past, and it can help you to become a better person for your future. It can help you to forgive those who've harmed you, even if it was you who harmed yourself. Counseling can help you to open yourself up to all that life has to offer. It can be a very powerful thing! Life really is all about using our time here to become better for ourselves and for our loved ones and I'd like to accompany you on that journey.

VIRTUAL THERAPY
All my sessions currently are being conducted virtually via a secured video portal. It is similar to going to a meeting on Zoom or FaceTime, but it is much more secure so our conversations are kept private. Clients find it easy to use, as I'm sure you will as well.

And if you're worried that it's not as effective as in-person therapy, you can lay that to rest. Several studies have been done since the beginning of the pandemic which show that virtual therapy is just as effective as in-person!
