Greg received his psychotherapy training at Southwestern College
in Santa Fe, NM. This is a highly experiential program where students are
expected to do the work of their own personal growth while learning the art of
being a therapist. The experiential nature of program requires students to
actively participate in their learning of a wide variety of
"techniques," not just get "book smarts." Core classes covered many aspects of depth
psychology, art therapy, and archetypal concepts. Greg graduated in 2002 with a Master's Degree
in Counseling. He is licensed in the
State of Louisiana as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Greg has worked at various internship sites in Santa Fe, NM
and locally at The Adolescent Center, The Student
Development & Counseling Center at LSUS, and Brentwood Hospital on the Children, Adolescent, Adult, Chemical Dependency, and
Behavioral Pain Management Units. He maintains his licensure continuing education requirements through
attendance and lecturing at conferences.
He also has additional training through a forty hour Motivational
Interviewing seminar for addictions counseling and extensive continuing
education on the works of Carl Jung.
Greg has been practicing and teaching Tai Chi for over 24
years and brings much of this experience to his particular style of therapy via
enhance body awareness, centering, mindfulness, and meditation.
Greg developed the Behavioral Pain Management Program at
Brentwood Hospital with Dr. James Harrold.
Greg has been in private practice for the past year. He has experience in working with children,
adolescents, and adults on a wide variety of issues, including substance abuse
and chronic pain.
