Cindie is a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
Background:

She has a Bachelors degree in Social development studies with a major in Social work and Masters degree in Counselling Psychology. Cindie studied to complete her education while working and raising a family and brings the same commitment to her counselling practice. She has a caring, gentle approach to working with clients and believes in empowering individuals to find strength and hope in the midst of their circumstances. She is welcoming of all faith backgrounds and gender identities and believes in creating a culturally safe space for clients.

Cindie's practice focuses predominantly on working with individuals and groups in the areas of stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, Intimate Partner Violence (IPV), relationship and parenting issues. Sometimes life events can precipitate traumatic responses. Cindie integrates sensorimotor psychotherapy and trauma informed art therapy approaches into therapy to help the client manage symptoms that they are experiencing.

Cindie brings a wealth of experience to her counselling practice. She also has experience working with adults and youth in Violence and Abuse prevention with a focus on Child Abuse, Bullying and Healthy Relationships. She has presented to adult and youth audiences dealing with these issues throughout the province. It was through these experiences that she became motivated to work within the counselling field.

Many people find the thought of going for counselling to be intimidating or overwhelming but it doesn’t need to be. Sometimes it is helpful to get a fresh perspective from a professional who can journey along side of you.   Mental health should be a preventative and supportive step towards overall physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. View it as taking care of your yourself, aren’t you worth it?

Cindie has two Intern: Jaclynn Schroeder and Liens Best. Both Jaclynn and Liens are taking new clients and offer reduced rate.
