About Brooke:
I have been practicing therapy for 8 years and have experience with individuals, couples, and families. As a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist, I practice experiential therapies to help my clients heal internally and relationally. My career began in pastoral counseling settings where a deeply human, connected presence is the most important part of facilitating the client's healing.

As humans, I believe we all have an innate drive towards wholeness. All the parts of us are doing the best they know how to take care of or protect us, but our protective strategies often sabotage our ability to get our needs met. I help my clients find compassion and love for all parts of their Selves and learn to engage in an ongoing relationship with Self, the Divine, and other humans.

I am trained in Emotion-Focused Therapy for couples, EMDR for trauma, and integrate Internal Family Systems into my approach with both individuals and couples. Couples, identity/life transitions, perinatal concerns, and trauma are my areas of focus. I spent two years exclusively working with women in the perinatal phase of life and have unique experience with postpartum mood disorders and infertility.

I seek to be a safe space for people of all identities and recognize the impact of systemic injustice and generational trauma on marginalized communities. Feminist therapy informs my work in that I explore the impacts of systemic messaging - whether from family, local community, or state/national culture - on our system's protective strategies.

I mentor all of our clinicians at Abide and am able to support in their clients' care through clinical supervision. They each have their own unique specialties including military families, couples, medical issues, and young adult concerns.

About Carlita:
I’m a Master’s level Clinical Mental health counselor with a specialization in Military Families & Culture. I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Communications from Tennessee State University and served in the United States Navy for eight years. I take a Rogerian approach to counseling also known as person centered, which is rooted in “helping people find their own best way”.
My specialties include anxiety, depression, trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), covering issues related to career counseling, coping skills, life transitions, relationship issues, stress, marital and premarital counseling, and suicidal ideation.

About Christine:
As a pre-licensed MFT, I meet people where they are to help guide them through their interpersonal relationships, thoughts, and feelings. I work from an evidence-based Collaborative/Narrative Strength Based Approach to empower them to understand their mental health through neurophysiological psychoeducation, assessments, and build coping skills for everyday life stressors. I see patients with chronic illness, depression, anxiety, Trauma (PTSD, Complex), relationship distress/conflict. I’m trained in trauma-informed brief interventionist models, and specialize in working with clients after traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury/surgery, stroke, and injury/illness.

About Dann:
I earned my Master’s of Marriage and Family Therapy from Trevecca Nazarene University and have experience working with adolescents, adult individuals, and couples. I find great joy in helping individuals cultivate deeper awareness of their life stories and love for their internal systems. I also utilize Emotion-Focused Therapy to aid couples in their understanding of their relational dynamics and ability to create intimacy. I look forward to welcoming clients of all backgrounds into their journey of therapy.

About Jessica:
I am a Marriage and Family Therapy graduate student at Lipscomb University. I have been enjoying working with people from all walks of life in her clinical internship at Abide. I am particularly interested in helping others experiencing grief, anxiety, and/or trauma. My primary goal is to make genuine connections and help others feel heard and understood without judgement. I also deeply love spending time with my family, reading, and traveling.

About Caroline:
As a clinical mental health counseling student, I am passionate about helping others live more hopeful, healthful, and whole lives. My goal is to foster a non-judgmental space for people to heal in. Together, we can work to untangle lies, rewrite false narratives, and restore hope as we explore the uncharted waters of your story. I see people through a biopsychosocial-spiritual lens and consider the mind, body, and spirit in each session. In addition to being holistic, my approach is emotion-focused and strengths-based; I believe in the importance of emotional awareness and acceptance and in utilizing your unique strengths to promote resilience. I welcome you to come as you are; it would be an honor to join you in your journey towards healing.
