At Arukah Counselling we create an accepting, non judgmental environment where clients can receive the tools they need to bring healing and restoration into all areas of their lives.

Meet our team:

Kimberly an independent registered psychotherapist and owner of Arukah Counselling. She uses a person-centered approach and works with adults, adolescents, and couples using Narrative therapy, Solution-focused therapy, Cognitive Behavioural therapy and The Gottman Method. She has specialized training in trauma and grief including pregnancy and infant loss. Kimberly provides a safe, non judgmental place for clients to share their story to move toward greater health.

Steve is a Social Worker with a masters in Counselling Psychology. He has worked extensively with children, teens, men and couples. He can provide you with years of experience, but also knows you are the expert on your own life. With this in mind he will help you find coping strategies that work for you and challenge you to reach outside of your comfort zone. He has experience working through a variety of issues and concerns. His counselling approach is Relational and from a Cognitive Behavioural lens.

Mallory is a registered psychotherapist (qualifying). She is a play informed therapist who works with children, teens and adults. She is an empathetic counsellor who uses a variety of techniques and modalities depending on the needs of the client. Mallory creates a safe environment that helps clients to feel comfortable sharing the most difficult issues of life and helps them to move forward in their journey to greater health, self acceptance and confidence.

Bella is a five year old Pekingese/Shih Tzu hypoallergenic dog who loves people. Adult clients have a choice of having her in the therapy room if they choose. She has an instinctive draw to people who need comfort and emotional support. Whether she is just in the room, sitting beside you or cuddled up with you, she will spread comfort and ease in the therapy room.

Cost: $135 per 50 minute session for individuals, $150 per 50 minute session for couples and families, $180 for couples counselling with dual therapists (Please contact us for more information about this unique service offered by Arukah Counselling). Receipts are provided after payment for insurance purposes. Cash and e-tranfere accepted for payment.
