My mission as a therapist is to help people find relief so they can create a life they love without their issues stopping them. This applies to both individuals and couples. For couples, navigating relationships can be challenging when connection turns into distance. Couples counseling offers a path to reconnect and strengthen your bond.
We'll accomplish this through collaboration (since you know yourself best) and creating an environment where you feel supported and heard. In sessions, you can expect me to meet you exactly where you’re at, and exactly as myself, so we can create a real human connection. We’ll have warm, non-judgmental conversations and incorporate techniques or creative outlets that make sense for you.
Online Therapy:
Pushing through your issues alone can feel exhausting, but sometimes getting the support you need by starting therapy can be a huge hurdle on its own. Online therapy can be an easier step to take and can be as effective as in-person therapy, which is why I offer it exclusively. You will have to talk to someone new (that's me, hi!) but it won't be an interrogation. We'll work together, and after the first session, I won't be a stranger anymore.
EVIDENCE-BASED APPROACHES USED:
Person-Centered Therapy: I recognize that I have expertise in counseling and techniques to help clients grow and change, but you are the expert on yourself. Therapy is a collaborative effort, and you'll be met with empathy and openness.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART): An innovative therapy that uses voluntary image replacement and eye movements to resolve trauma and other issues that feel impossible to change. This therapy helps people feel better faster and does not require people to discuss details of their trauma they do not want to share.
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy: This approach helps clients free themselves from unhelpful thinking patterns and achieve their goals.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): EFT is designed to help couples understand and change their emotional responses, leading to stronger bonds and improved communication. This approach focuses on identifying and addressing negative interaction patterns and fostering a deeper emotional connection.
