Tower Behavioral Health’s mental health treatment center provides care for adults and adolescents at its facility in Reading, Pennsylvania. Our individualized treatment plans and diverse therapy offerings are why we are a leading provider of treatment for those who are struggling with acute mental health crises. While Tower Behavioral Health offers many services, our primary role is as an inpatient treatment center. Our treatment center, which offers multidisciplinary care, can serve patients who have mental health disorders and co-occurring addictions. Some of the behavioral health concerns that we treat include psychotic disorders, adjustment disorders, depression, borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and suicidal ideation.

We are also a premier provider of adolescent inpatient behavioral health services. Our program aims to meet the needs of adolescents ages 14-17 by providing them with age-appropriate services. Adolescent patients may receive care through the Inspiration Unit, which can provide them with a relaxing and distraction-free healing environment. Our treatment team will thoroughly review each patient’s psychological, behavioral, and medical history. This assessment process allows our team to tailor its strategy to suit each patient’s unique needs. During their stays, adolescent patients can take part in a range of activities that include evidence-based therapies. Our offerings may include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), group therapy, family meetings, yoga, horticulture, life skills development, safety and wellness planning, discharge planning, and individual interventions.

We also offer specialized inpatient treatment services for adolescents age 13 and older who are experiencing symptoms of eating disorders. Tower Behavioral Health’s inpatient program for adults age 18 and older follows a similar structure to the treatment model for adolescents. However, the therapies in this program focus on addressing the unique challenges of adults who are struggling with mental health disorders. Adult inpatient treatment can include individual and group therapy, family meetings, leisure time, medication management, art and music therapy, dance therapy, and discharge planning.

Tower Behavioral Health also offers a partial hospitalization program (PHP) for adults age 18 and older. This program functions as a transitional service for patients who are stepping down from care at an inpatient treatment center or patients who are seeking care at the PHP level and do not require 24/7 support. Our PHP gives participants the ability to return home after daily treatment sessions. This format can allow patients to continue fulfilling personal, work, or school obligations while they receive treatment. During the PHP, participants can attend group and individual therapy sessions and learn valuable life skills.

Tower Behavioral Health also offers a therapeutic model known as the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program. This program is available to adults age 26 and older of all genders. The ACT program serves patients who are experiencing severe behavioral health symptoms but do not require hospitalization. ACT participants can receive support such as weekly medication deliveries, monthly meetings with psychiatrists, individual therapy sessions with a social worker, and addiction counseling. All programs at Tower Behavioral Health aim to provide support during various phases of a patient’s journey to better mental health. We want to equip patients with the skills necessary to achieve a better quality of life and lasting healing.
