I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with more than 12 years of experience working with individuals and couples. Therapeutic Approaches:
Expressing your emotions can be challenging, and knowing where to begin might be tough. As your counsellor, I'll work with you at your pace and establish an environment where you can freely discuss your deepest thoughts, goals, hopes, fears, and traumas.
When working with me, you can expect kindness, attentiveness, and respect. Through a gentle and collaborative approach, I'll assist you in uncovering paths for change and achieving your objectives. My counselling approach is client-centred. This means that I recognize that we all lead unique lives with distinct personalities and goals. Therefore, each session will be customized to meet your specific needs. I'll consider your diverse background, life experiences, access to resources, challenges, and strengths when providing suggestions and developing a therapy plan. Together, we will collaboratively establish clear and achievable goals for therapy. These goals may include improving communication, resolving conflicts, rebuilding trust, enhancing intimacy, or navigating life transitions. Outside of therapy sessions, I may assign homework exercises and activities to reinforce learning and promote positive changes. These exercises are designed to facilitate continued growth and progress between sessions.
Points for couples:
In addition to the above, I believe that effective communication is vital for a healthy relationship. We will work on developing practical communication skills to express your needs, listen actively, and resolve conflicts constructively. These skills will empower you to communicate more openly and authentically with your partner. I aim to foster empathy and understanding between partners by exploring each other's perspectives, feelings, and experiences. Through empathic listening and validation, I create a safe space for partners to express themselves authentically and without judgment.

I've faced numerous challenges and encountered significant losses in my own personal journey, shaping the person I am today. These experiences have cultivated my deep sense of empathy for others, an understanding of the difficulties they strive to overcome, and strong ability to establish connection with my clients. I hold the belief that every individual possesses the inner strength, capability, and resilience to recover and evolve from emotional distress. It would be my privilege to accompany you on this journey of healing and growth!
