Talia is a therapist at Rise who specializes in clinical counselling with youth, young adults, adults and families and has been passionate about working with these populations for more than nineteen years. After completing her Masters in Clinical Social Work, she pursued extensive training in areas such as: trauma, child and adolescent development, attachment, EMDR, grief and loss, forensic adolescent mental health, risk assessment, and family conflict. Further driving her therapeutic work includes Talia’s interest in family systems theory, the latest research in brain development and the neurobiology of early attachment-related issues. She applies the knowledge she has acquired through her extensive supervision and education to well researched treatment models to meet her clients' diverse needs. Talia believes that her clients are the authorities of their own lives and strives to ensure that the people she works with truly feel seen and understood before supporting them to address the roots of the issues they face. Talia’s warm and compassionate approach allows her to build strong therapeutic relationships with others. She believes in the self-righting ability each person possesses to re-wire their brain towards health.
