San Jose Behavioral Health is the premier mental health hospital in San Jose, California. Our center serves adults age 18 and older and adolescents ages 14-17, and programs are open to all genders. San Jose Behavioral Health fosters a supportive environment for those who are struggling with mental health or behavioral problems. Our staff is proud to offer sophisticated programs and therapies in a personalized setting. We treat most mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, psychosis, posttraumatic stress disorder, borderline personality disorder, panic disorder, and more. Programs and services at our treatment center include adolescent inpatient, adult inpatient, adult intensive outpatient, adult partial hospitalization, continuing care, recreation therapy, telehealth, and military and veteran care. Our adolescent inpatient program is designed to help adolescents ages 14-17 who are experiencing symptoms of behavioral and mental health conditions, including mood disorders. Treatment methods vary according to individual needs and may include cognitive behavioral therapy, wellness recovery action planning, mindfulness practice, and more. The average length of stay for the adolescent program is three to 15 days. The adult inpatient program at San Jose Behavioral Health is a comprehensive program for women and men age 18 and older. This program provides short-term care for those seeking treatment for a variety of mental health disorders. Our inpatient treatment center also treats secondary physical health conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, diabetes, and asthma. For adults who need an acute level of care but for whom an inpatient program is not a good fit, we offer a partial hospitalization program (PHP). This program provides services for several hours every day, Monday-Friday. Patients can return home at the end of the day and do not receive treatment on weekends. Our adult intensive outpatient program (IOP) provides therapeutic services throughout the week while patients continue to live at home, attend school, work, and fulfill other responsibilities. The IOP at San Jose Behavioral Health offers treatment three days per week for three hours a day for a total of 12 weeks. This program allows adults who are stable in their recovery to begin the transition back to daily life. San Jose Behavioral Health is proud to provide treatment for active-duty military members and veterans who have mental health concerns, including addiction. We work through the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Community Care Network to offer comprehensive mental healthcare, including individual and family therapy, detoxification, and medication management. The telehealth program at San Jose Behavioral Health is unique for a mental health treatment center in its ability to manage the pre-admissions process through technology.
