Keira has extensive professional counseling experience working with individuals, couples, children, adolescents, and families. Keira has experience and training in helping people deal with and recover from traumatic experiences as well as the many manifestations of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). She has specialized training in art therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and Gottman therapy to help adults, teens, and children process trauma. She brings a wealth of experience in couples and marital counseling, premarital counseling, sexuality issues, infertility concerns, parenting challenges, blended families, adoptive and foster parenting, child and adolescent issues, violence or abusive patterns, addictions, co-dependency, divorce recovery, career changes, death and grieving, spiritual/religious issues, stress, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, weight issues, eating disorders, sleep disorders, trauma and abuse recovery, alcohol abuse, substance abuse, and more.
EDUCATION:
Keira has a Master of Arts in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling Therapy with a Child and Adolescent Certificate from the University of Northern Colorado, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Phoenix.
She has also received specialized training in Gottman Couples Therapy (Levels 1 & 2), trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), art therapy, suicide prevention planning, and other mental health interventions for individuals, families, and couples.

Keira was born in Chihuahua, Mexico, which gives her a unique, multicultural approach to counseling, and is fluent in both English and Spanish.
