Personal Bio
Jeannette York initially trained in Minnesota in the area of childhood sexual abuse. Later, after moving to California, she worked at the well-known Southern California Counseling Center, helping clients with a variety of issues, including depression, grief, schizophrenia as well as family and parenting. In 2009, Ms. York started her own private practice specializing in Couples and Families. She feels that the relationships in people's lives are the heart of what brings peace and security. Ms York has studied with well-known Couple experts such as The Gottmans, Ellen Bayder, and Terry Reel as well as many others. She is well-qualified and truly an expert in couple and family therapy.
Your relationship with your spouse, partner, children, parents, friends, and more are the most essential things in your life. Living this close to people always involves difficulty at some point. It's the natural human condition that no two people can agree on everything. Behaviors can become troubling. Differences can lead to frustration, poor communication, and turning away.

Jeannette has
specialized training in working with adults who have been sexually molested as
children. She worked at Neighborhood Involvement Program in Minneapolis in
their rape and sexual abuse program. After moving to California, Jeannette
worked at Southern California Counseling Center, counseling families and
couples on various topics, including infidelity, parenting, life transition, and communication. Jeannette’s counseling practice includes working with individuals who

Jeannette charges a flat fee of
$240 per 75-minute session; this applies to couples and individuals. Jeannette does not take insurance; however, on
request, she does provide a bill that can be submitted to the patient's insurance company.
