As a holistic practitioner, I draw on several therapeutic
techniques such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Systems
approaches, Attachment Theory, Poly Vagal Theory and somatic approaches. I work
with you to address issues of wellness, wholeness, healing and acceptance. This
includes art/creative techniques and activities, nature therapy, movement and
the outdoors and equine assisted techniques and healing. Traditional talk therapy
is always included depending on your needs and goals.
Holistic approaches take the whole person into account,
focusing not only on cognition and behaviours but nervous system responses and
patterns that may have been formed as responses to trauma or stressors experienced
throughout life. Through developing a better understanding of our own patterns,
cognition and behaviours, and their impacts on our interactions with others, with our
children, in our close relationships and of course with ourselves, we begin
the process of change.
If you are feeling stuck, anxious, unmotivated, depressed or
on edge or if you are going through a difficult experience and are looking for support;
If you want to feel whole again, if you want a different approach to therapy or
if you are looking to connect with nature and animals in a new way, contact me.
