Education and Experience
Bonnie Hall has a Master’s of Counselling degree and is a Registered
Clinical Counsellor with a private practice in Richmond, BC. She offers counselling services for people
who are feeling frustrated in their relationships with others, or who are
unhappy with themselves. Her counselling
focus is on working with couples at all stages of their relationship, and with
parents and families facing difficulties, particularly in times of transition. She also welcomes individuals who are seeking
therapy for a broad range of issues, including anxiety, depression, grief and
loss, trauma, self-esteem, and personal growth.
Bonnie has been active in the helping professions for over 30 years. Before entering the counselling field, Bonnie
earned a Bachelor of Science degree and diplomas in education and music. She spent many years as a high school teacher
in greater Vancouver and in Japan, and worked with adults and children of all
ages as a private voice and piano teacher.
She has worked as a counsellor in not-for-profit agencies as well as in
private practice, addressing a wide variety of client concerns in these
contexts.
Bonnie has been married for over 40 years and has raised three children. She is intimately acquainted with the
challenges of maintaining balance and meeting one’s needs in a busy family
life, of navigating the dance between autonomy and connectedness in an intimate
relationship, and of adjusting to the numerous transitions and difficulties we
all encounter in life. Her experience
and training have imbued her with a passion for helping people achieve a sense
of harmony in their relationships with a significant other, with family
members, and with themselves.
Approach
Recognizing that there is a strong correlation between one’s relationship
with the self and with others, Bonnie offers insights and practical strategies drawn
from a variety of therapeutic modalities to help clients learn how to be true
to their authentic selves while maintaining emotionally satisfying connections to

supportive, and respectful climate in which clients feel genuinely and deeply
heard without judgement. She actively
engages in the counselling process through sharing her insights and knowledge
