Bev uses the following approaches:

MEMI & IEMT = Multichannel Eye Movement Desensitization and Integral Eye Movement Therapy. Both modalities are effective in reducing traumatic memories and reducing distress of traumatic memories.

EMDR (for trauma) = Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) integrates elements of many effective psychotherapies in structured protocols that are designed to maximize treatment effects.  These include psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, interpersonal, experiential, and body-centered therapies.  EMDR is an information processing therapy and uses an eight-phase approach.

Psychotherapy = to reduce and eliminate anxiety and depression by reflecting on our past experiences and recognizing how our past influences our choices in the present. When we understand our perceptions of our past experiences can be changed, we find choice can transform our life.

Flash Technique/4 Blink Flash = a refined technique, based on EMDR, which resolves trauma and traumatic memories by engaging a positive focus and this approach does not require full memory recall. It is an approach that is quick and easy.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) = modality helps us to link how our thinking and feelings come together to form the basis of the behavioral choices we make. There is personal power in understanding these linkages and shifting them to reflect what are values and beliefs really are. We will work together to uncover your self-talk and we will examine this self-talk for thinking errors and values that aren't yours. By doing this, you will create the time and space to develop thinking and choices that reflect who you really are.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) =  draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy by working with self-talk and how those link to your feelings, resulting in your behavioral choice. It adds in mindfulness so that you are harnessing the power of your inner self to manage in your life the way you desire. This approach will encourage you to be in nature, allowing you to be more grounded, as you move through your life.

Mindfulness = meditation and mindfulness are evidence-based methods for us to calm our minds. Through meditation, we can enhance our brain well-being.

Focusing =  is a gentle way to shift the pain from trauma. We each have, in our body, a felt-sense of what we experience. Through Focusing, I will prompt you through these in your body. When you work with what your body knows and experiences, you are able to change your felt-sense without directly expressing the trauma.

Life Coaching = relies on your ability to dream and turn those dreams into reality. By designing the life you desire, brings you the joy and contentment you seek in your daily life. I will ask curious questions to help you expand your dreams and help you visualize them. The clearer your desires and dreams are, the easier it is to start the planning process to make them happen. We will examine your values and beliefs, working to clarify your core self so that you are living the life you truly want to live. I will support you through each step in moving forward toward the life you desire.
