Anger Therapist
Anna Deeds, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
In 15401 - Nearby to Pleasant Valley.
My approach to anger management is to have my clients learn to identify body signals that they are getting angry. This helps you catch the anger early so you can make changes that will reduce it. I also help clients identify anger triggers. Triggers are thoughts, behaviors or feelings that lead to anger. Sometimes, people get angry because they have “rules” for how people should act. When other people don’t follow their rules, they get angry. Anger can also have an underlying emotion such as hurt, which the person feels less comfortable expressing. Discovering the underlying emotion and helping the person get comfortable with expressing it can relieve the anger.
