I provide career counseling to: those who have been laid off and are looking for a second career as a result of the current economy; those who have a disability and need career counseling as part of their "transition plan"; and/or those who are uncertain about choosing a career, as opposed to just seeking employment or a job. In addition, I provide career counseling to those who are unhappy with their current job/career and are looking for a change. perhaps something more fulfilling and rewarding. What ever the case may be, I assist in examining your strengths and needs and provide guidance; so that you can make a career decision or improve your performance in your present career.

My work background before becoming a professional counselor was in the Staffing Industry, where I worked for many years as a Recruiter and helped find job openings for staffing companies as a sales manager as well. I have 25 years of experience in recruiting and sales in the marketplace, and have substantial experience teaching people how to conduct a full-scale job search, interviewing techniques, and how to implement and execute well thought-out and planned career transition strategies. I can prepare excellent resumes, cover letters and teach you keys to landing that plum job you want by enacting strategies and techniques that only a handful of people use.

Where ever you may be on your journey, job changes and career choices can be risky business! I will help you determine which skills you are most competent in and the skills that could be built upon to increase your employment opportunities within your current company or a in a new job altogether. Life is about balance, and focusing on a career that still helps you maintain connections with family and friends is of equal importance in working through career satisfaction and the job that is right for you.
