I specialize in working with couples whether married or in a dating relationship, my training and experience (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) is centered around working within the context of marriage and relationships. I am a Christian who is a counselor, while not trained in Biblical Counseling; I support the Christian Faith and your beliefs. I welcome the discussion of faith in all sessions and will support its use in helping you through the difficulties you are experiencing.

The basic message of the Bible is that God loves us, and does so not because we have earned this love, but simply because God chooses to love us because of who God is. We live our lives trying to find out what this means in everyday life, sometimes living as though we have to do something to deserve this love, and other times living as though it is impossible to be loved. I believe Christian counseling is at its heart simply finding out how to integrate God's love for us into our lives.

Rob & Dori are passionate about changing lives. Approximately 40% of our clientele self-identify as Christian. We are Christians, and yet we are far from religious or dogmatic. When clients contacts us, they seek outstanding professional help, whether they are Christian, Agnostic, Atheist or any other religion. Mental health, relational success, and overall emotional healing requires experience, and scientific and educated wisdom. Integrity, character, and foundational values also greatly assist and influence clients' health.

As both a pastor and a therapist, I have a unique opportunity to have a positive impact in your life. I am passionate about weaving theology and psychology together in a way that lays a foundation for Jesus to change the human heart. Our work together will help you explore your true identity in Christ, addressing potential theological questions or roadblocks you may have and applying Biblical principles to your situation so you can be more aware of how to choose to live a life within God's will. Active prayer listening, addressing spiritual/Biblical matters and helping you encounter Jesus are all potential disciplines that we may utilize in our time together if you wish.

While most Christian Counselors pride themselves on how many Scriptural passages they can recite and how many links they can make from the Bible to psychological disorders, the Christian-centric work of Grey Matters International, Inc.is grounded in one principle: truth. For us, the work is more about truth and transparency of Christ's message and working on the natural laws of accountability and decision making that evolves from that.
