Habitat for Humanity is dedicated to providing low-income families with quality, affordable and comfortable housing that in turn enhances family and community functioning. Generous donations from local residents, civics groups and corporations provide the materials and manpower to build each house. Habitat families also get involved in the process of constructing the home by providing sweat equity. By providing affordable homeownership, Habitat helps break the cycle of poverty and homelessness, allowing families to focus instead on personal growth, financial stability and job security.
