I realize it takes a lot of courage to begin the psychotherapy process, but every step counts. In Individual Therapy sessions, we will spend our time working through the various ways your emotions may have felt confusing or misleading for you. No assumptions will be made about who you are or what you're going through, but rather we will use these sessions to journey together to reach the goals you would like to set for yourself.

I work with an entire person--the mind, emotions, body, spirit, relationships. I offer an alternative approach to traditional psychotherapy because sometimes we are stuck beyond our thoughts. I believe we are often stuck beyond how we think about something, but by how our body holds and remembers the experiences. After all, we feel the anxiety in our chest, shoulders or stomach. When we are depressed, we struggle to move, sleep, concentrate etc. I work to remove the block from wherever it is stuck. My clients come to me after years of ineffective therapy. They are looking for more than talking about their struggles or identifying how they think about them in favor of a change in living.

My approach to psychotherapy is rooted in fostering a therapeutic alliance built on trust, empathy, and active listening. I believe in creating a safe and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in depth. Through a client-centered and integrative approach, clients will benefit from tailored interventions and techniques that address their unique needs and goals. I strive to empower clients to gain self-awareness, develop coping strategies, and facilitate personal growth.

This private practice is focused on helping clients create a balanced and joyful life. Everyone can discover the way that works best for him or her. It appears that we tend to focus way too much time and energy on "right vs. wrong." This seems to only cause more confusion, indecisiveness, and other insecurities. Seeking outside guidance in times of struggle can be powerful and transformative. One of the goals of this practice is to help clients discover a deeper sense of self and acceptance. My approach to helping individuals or families through psychotherapy encompasses getting to know the individual as being a unique person that does not have to fit into everyone else's mold. Psychotherapy involves compassion and empathy for my clients. I am honored to be on the other side of my client's exploration and journey in discovery. I provide guidance where my client needs me to be with them.

Life poses many challenges to all of us throughout of lives. My goal is to hear what you have to say in a nonjudmental way, in an atmosphere of safety. Together we can explore what is going on with you, and I can provide you with tools to decrease your emotional suffering, gain insight into your issue, and increase coping (individually or within your relationships).

The pursuit of happiness can sometimes seem to be a non-reality to individuals with extenuating circumstances in life. Adverse childhood experiences many times have a negative impact on how we view the world. We develop anxious attachments, avoidant attachments, and a combination of both. Our subconscious thoughts of what we experience in our childhood are usually the culprit of our low self-esteem, lack of assertiveness. and overall pessimism of the world. We give our clients the opportunity to explore these past realities with a listening professional ear. We process through these experiences then provide a professional psychoanalysis. From there, we work together to improve your outlook.
