I have a MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of St. Thomas. Opportunities working with kids in foster care established my foundation in understanding the social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties. Additionally, I have worked with adolescents and adults with goals to improve anxiety, depression, relationships, stress, and more. We use psychotherapy to build a personal bond that helps you to realize your own strengths. We work with people to develop belief and faith in their own ability to handle life on life’s terms. By building a strong interpersonal relationship as opposed to a starkly clinical one, we try to get a true understanding of what is triggering discomfort in your life. We will try to uncover the causes as well as a timeline as to when your symptoms began and cultivate healthy alternatives to deal with the issues troubling you most. The goal is to help you to get to a point that you feel you have the ability to manage your own thoughts and feelings and emotions outside of the therapeutic relationship.
