Psychotherapy? For some, a therapist office and talking about themselves is a very comfortable and “normal” setting. For many others, it’s a HUGE step out of their comfort zone, evoking fears and every movie cliché about laying on a couch. To help calm these fears, I tend to compare psychotherapy to athletic coaching. Top athletes – LeBron James, J.J. Watt, Serena Williams – all have a coach. These athletes excel at their individual sport, have been playing for most of their lives; and still benefit from coaching. In life, or sport, we sometimes lack insight to what blocks our progress to our full potential. In psychotherapy, like a coach, I offer that support, feedback, and clarity.

My approach to therapy is not a quick fix or a band-aid approach. It is not self-help advice or executive coaching. It is a process of research-proven, emotional surgery that gets at the heart of your issues and heals them at their source.
