When people of faith claim a connection to their God, they benefit from using a counselor that can frame their struggles in words that are reflected in their faith. I have been ordained as Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). I trained at both Perkins School of Theology (at SMU) and Amberton University. My counseling practice is a "Validated Ministry" within Grace Presbytery.

The Bible is God's instruction to Christians on so many topics. A most valuable set of topics is of course, family development and marital satisfaction. As a Christian Minister I approach counseling with an integration of biblical and clinical principles. One informs the other. The Bible is silent on many topics and theologically, one must not attempt to make doctrine out of silence. But I also believe that he’s given us the gift of rational minds, able to discern scientific and psychological truths built into the fabric of His amazing creation. My approach is grounded firmly in Scripture, but I don’t use Scripture as a weapon. You don’t need more guilt, but rather, a reminder of God’s promises and a compassionate guide to support you.
