We are not officially Biblical counselors, but are all capable of integrating your Christian beliefs into therapy effectively. Brooke has a background in pastoral counseling where spiritual integration is a very regular practice, and all of our clinicians are able to explore the role that your faith beliefs play in your emotions and choices. Anyone of any faith is welcome to ask for spiritual integration into therapy.

As a believer in Christ I am aware of the principles highlighted in the Bible that integrate a Christian perspective on healthy living. I am prepared to navigate the spiritual exploration that a patient may desire while working out their struggles in a therapeutic setting. I believe the integration of Christianity along with the application of psychological principles lays the foundation and provides a path towards a deeper connection with God and others. This will help the patient develop a deeper understanding of their God given purpose on Earth.

While most Christian Counselors pride themselves on how many Scriptural passages they can recite and how many links they can make from the Bible to psychological disorders, the Christian-centric work of Grey Matters International, Inc.is grounded in one principle: truth. For us, the work is more about truth and transparency of Christ's message and working on the natural laws of accountability and decision making that evolves from that. Brian's Christian faith is the central factor in his life, and provides him with strength and hope based on the incredible grace that he finds in Christ. He intentionally sought out training that integrated psychology and Christian theological learning. Though not all of his patients share this faith, or wish to look at their issues through this frame, Brian is trained and glad to address issues from this perspective. Brian is also a member of Christ Community Church in Franklin, and is so thankful for the community of grace that he finds there.
