Grief doesn’t ever go away completely, it changes over time. It is important for each person to have their own journey with grief. We will work together to honor the one you lost and help you establish a new normal. Losing someone or something is incredibly hard. I believe that one of the great myths that we are told is simply that “time heals all wounds.” Time can actually reinforce the pain of loss and it is important to mourn and grieve that which we no longer have. Grieving is a normal process filled with pain. Sometimes the process can be made easier by talking to a someone. People who are grieving the loss of a loved one or the loss of a relationship are often confused about the meaning of the loss and have raw emotions just below (or sometimes directly on) the surface. I provide three things: 1) a compassionate place to talk about the loss, 2) ways to figure out what the loss means to you, and 3) ways to take the loving memories of the person in your heart while you manage to move on with life with a healthy sadness rather than intense despair.
